ALBANY - One of Scotland’s most professional and versatile bands led by well known accordionist and Radio Tay A.M. presenter Billy Anderson and also featuring Mod Gold Medalist Margaret MacLeod, ably accompanied by pianist Alan Kitchen (LRAM), George Robb on guitar and Kenny Downie on drums.

Over the years, ALBANY have toured extensively on four major coast to coast tours of the United States of America and Canada with Columbia Artistes Festivals from New York, together with regular appearances in the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Brunei, Sarawak, Monaco, Germany and once to South Australia.

At home, Billy is involved with local Radio and Margaret with B.B.C. Radio na Gael whilst Alan and Billy are committed to regular tuition of their individual instruments. The band has appeared on various television programmes on Grampian, S.T.V. and B.B.C. and appears on an annual basis at the Caledonian Ball in Bonn, Germany and also at the Scottish Burns Association in Monaco.

In regular demand throughout Scotland, ALBANY have released their third CD recording, which contains music and song from their live concert performances - namely the well established and very popular ALBANY STAGE SHOW.

As a dance band, their versatility of music for dancing is always in great demand for many corporate events, weddings and the ever popular Ceilidh.
